T J is an inspirational and generous teacher. I learned more about his painting techniques and mixing colors that I could easily remember because of the limited pallet and repeat. TJ is so generous with his knowledge. Just pure instruction, talking as he painted. It was such a joy!!! Having it for 3 consecutive days also worked so well for me.

Tim is a thoughtful and careful teacher. He goes over his lesson slowly and thoroughly so it's easy to follow along. He includes not only standard curriculum but helpful tips that he's learned along the way. You get much more out of his workshop than you would out of a traditional college course.

Tim Cunningham is first and foremost a really kind man, patient, thoughtful and sincere in his role as a teacher. His talent is undeniable. I have followed his work throughout the last year. There was something so authentic about it that really spoke to me. And then I saw the sheep! Those paintings, I just loved them!
During the classes it was clear that he put a lot of thought and planning in preparation for the benefit of his students. His process was presented in a way that encouraged me. I have taken other online classes that felt like the teacher rushed through the demonstration. Tim took his time, paused for questions and it help me to relax and not feel like I had to keep up with him.
He generously followed up with each student for one-on-one critiques, that's how committed he was to each of us. He did this every day of this three-day class.
I plan to take more classes with Tim as soon as I can. I highly recommend him to anyone. He is welcoming to all and creates an environment that is supportive and relaxing.

The landscape zoom class with Tim TJ Cunningham was excellent. I loved many things about it, inter Alia: following the demo through his three stage process, his “guiding questions” for each phase, the emphasis on suggesting the nature of shapes through the treatment of their edges (between objects or planes), his recommendation to practice thumbnails from other paintings as a learning tool, and more! Great class! Would highly recommend it and take it again.
