Tim’s 3 day zoom landscape class was one of my favorite workshops! Why?
*so many take aways that I’ll use over and over again
*useful and well prepared class handouts
*the day’s schedule which consisted of demo/instructions in the am- student painting in afternoon then Tim’s individual meetings to review each students work from that day
*Final critique after a week to paint on our work
* I learned so much from seeing each students’ paintings and then Tim’s review and suggestions for each piece. This was one part I enjoyed and learned from the most!

Being that this was my first online class I wasn’t sure what to expect. I actually got more out of this workshop than any in person workshop I’ve ever attended. Tim is not only a great artist but a great teacher and his class size limit made the whole experience very personal. I’m looking forward to attending another.

Tim's instruction was clear, precise, and delivered in a helpful and friendly manner. It felt just like being in an onsite workshop. What I learned, and need to put into practice, was being diligent about doing preliminary sketches, interpreting and simplifying, and doing my block in from the sketch. Watching Tim wield his brush was inspirational! Another real eye opener for me was learning from Tim about wiping out the glare created by brush strokes. Tim's critiques were a huge plus and so very helpful. Can't wait to learn more when I take his sheep course!

This Zoom course is the second that I have taken from Tim. The first was face-to-face and very much appreciated and effective. I have to say that Tim's teaching style of close and interactive attention to questions and his very effective use of different cameras make the course just as good as an in-person course. The ability to go back and review his moves and color choices is a definite plus. I'd give both an A+. I've already signed up for his next two Zoom courses and look forward to a time when he can return to my home state for more face-to-face instruction. I highly recommend him.

I thoroughly enjoyed this workshop with TJ. It definitely helped me out of a painting rut with good instruction and a painting process I want to practice more. Plein air painting isn't my forte, but this was very encouraging. Thanks, TJ.

His workshop was more than I expected. He was generous with his time. He would critique our work individually everyday for the 3-day workshop. For me, he is a very good teacher because he gives out handouts at the beginning, explains very clearly his process and recap at the end. I actually learned a lot from him. He is also kind and humble.

I’ve always loved to draw and paint, but this class was a game changer.
I learned so much about values, color, edges, depth and creating texture with paint and brush strokes.
The subject was a delight for me to paint. I remember as a child the old farms in my hometown that have one by one disappeared through the years. It was like painting a beautiful memory.
